But if the thing is true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman, then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house. Therefore, if a woman has sex before marriage, she should be stoned to death. What does that say to how early Christian women in that time period were treated? This does not happen to men. Why the dissymmetrical management between sexes? This is because women were treated as chattel in the eyes of men and that belief was transposed into the Bible because the Bible is the act of men and not of God. What say you?
